A Million Year Old Rock

We went dinorsaur hunting today. Well, more accurately, we went to a place called Monument Rock about 100 miles west of Victoria. There are chalk buttes there which were left by a giant inland sea which seperated the United States tens of millions of years ago.

As a result, there are tons of fossils still around.

I thought I found a shark tooth. It was a million year old rock that sort of resembled a tooth. About the size of a quarter, it now sits upon my desk.

Been cool weather here lately. Hasn't gotten past 90 in the past week. Not too bad.

As a house we decided to subscribe the KC Star -- the Salina Journal just wasn't cutting it anymore.
