The Trials of Being a Mets Fan

"We might be fortunate enough to get away with this"

-- Jerry Manuel, referring to the Mets' starting rotation, as currently constructed. You know you're in for a long season when your team's manager refers to the pitching staff as though it were a crime.

It's quite enjoyable watching the Mets turn into the Phillies of 10 years ago...

You have no idea how depressed that makes me.

At least the Phillies had Von Hayes!

David Wright will have a better year, hopefully Jose Reyes will stay healthy all year. Those two along with Beltran and Francoeur should keep the Mets in a lot games but yes the poor pitching will keep them out of any playoff hopes.

At the end of the day all we should care about are the Yankees anyway.
