It's going to a while for the Mets to dig out of their mess. As for the Phillies, it was no shock they didn't beat the Giants. On paper, the Phillies are the better team, but they deserved to lose. They played sloppily and missed many chances to win the series. It'll be interesting to see how Amaro will approach the off season. Were injuries the reason for their bad play, or is age catching up to them? Utley is my favorite player, but he should not be untouchable in a trade. I never thought I'd say that, but he has been hurt each of the past 3 years and his numbers have gone down each year. Of course Rollins has also been an issue as have just about every other player at times. Yet they won the most games in the NL. Very strange team.
